Welcome to the Beta Phi Chapter of Phi Sigma at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Phi Sigma is a national graduate honor society for the promotion and recognition of research in the biological sciences. Membership at UTA is open to all biology graduate students in good standing and all incoming students are strongly encouraged to join.

 

Every semester Phi Sigma offers research and travel grants on a competitive basis. Phi Sigma also sponsors an active seminar series which bring speakers to UTA to present their research. In addition, the society funds and organizes several social events throughout the year to increase interaction among graduate students, faculty, and staff. Phi Sigma members are members for life!
